June 24th, 2008 | Summer has begun
Hey there, Summer is in full "swing" (wink, wink) and that of course is the busy season for us musicians. Please check the calendar and come out and check out a gig. I've got some club dates with Ari Seder, Elaine Dame, and Matt Shevitz, among others.

I've also been in the studio recently. One session was with Jeff Hedberg's newly formed C11 band. This band features the music of Art Pepper and Mel Torme. The session featured some of the best players from around town. Please check the links page for more info.

Also just finished the first of two sessions with guitarist Ari Seder. We are hoping for a pretty quick rap up on this one. It may me available at some of our Andy's gigs later in the summer.

Other that that, I'm continuing work on my wife's CD. If you are reading this you've probably already heard a little snippet on the intro page. This CD will feature Neal Alger and Bob Lovecchio. Neal has written some cool arrangements, and we've recorded about half the record so far. We're recording this one at home, so I'm kinda working on it in my free time. We hope to have a few tracks ready for your listening pleasure by August.

Hey...
So what am I up to right now?

It's been mostly private and corporate gigs through the first part of the year. But I've kept busy with my new hobby, home recording. Projects in the works include my wife's new record, which we are recording at home. It will be called Messenger, and will be featuring the music of Stevie Wonder among others. We should have some previews and singles ready for download in June and hope to have a final CD soon after that.
Also have been doing some rehearsals and trial recordings with Ari Seder and Corey Biggerstaff. Please come out to hear us in July or August at Andy's.
Also recently played on a track with the Waystation called "Perfect". I did my best Levon Helm drumming on that one. Not sure when that will be out, but I'll let you know.
I'm starting to get more club dates booked for the spring/summer, so I'll actually update this page more often.
