Music Production

Mather Point Music is a small but full service music production company. The studio is small and the walls are yellow, so in tribute to the Band I call it “Small Yellow”. I can help realize your musical goals. I also can add drum tracks as well as basic bass and keyboard tracks. I have access to plenty of software instruments including Omnisphere and Trilium. I love working with musicians and help them realize musical ideas.

Mixing

I started “in the box” mixing 15 years ago starting with my wife’s first self produced record. I caught the bug and have been mixing projects in various styles ever since. I mix in both ProTools & Logic and use plugins from Waves, McDSP, FabFilter, Izotope, Audio Assault, Black Rooster Audio and PSP. I pride myself on having a wide range of references in regards to mixing/musical styles and don’t like to impose my biases on your music. I enjoy mixing everything from Rock, Jazz, Folk and theater music. I promise that I will go to every effort to get your music sounding as good as I can.

Mastering & Delivery

I always suggest that your best bet is to have another set of very qualified ears to master your music. The cost of mastering isn’t always a realistic option. So I have created my term “faux-mastering”…and if I do say so myself I’ve gotten pretty good at it. I use software such as Izotope Ozone, McDSP, Waves and FabFilter, Fission and Meter-Plugs plugins to get a broadcast-ready sound. I’ve also delivered to duplication houses such as Discmakers in hard format, uploads, and DDP. I may not be able to provide $10,000’s of dollars in outboard mastering gear, but not every project needs or can afford that treatment. I promise a final master we both can be proud of.
